Revalue Your Reflection

This week’s edition of The Style Gospel According to Luke is all about revaluing your reflection. Use the elements of style to connect with your essential identity, starting with your values. Nothing has value, except for the value you give it. Luke tells us to start with ourselves and build connections with our identity and our values through our personal style. Everything we wear reveals who we really are.

Beauty guru and red-hot Youtube sensation Dulce Candy is back to dish on the latest on protecting your skin under the harsh summer sun while maintaining that fabulous glow. Dulce’s brought along some of her favorite products, like Solar Defense, Banana Boat, Kiehl’s and Loreal Sublime Sun. She and Luke give tips on which products are great for specific outings, whether you’re at the beach or out for a day under the sun. Dulce shows us how to maintain that sun-kissed look without frying your skin with fantastic products like St. Tropez’s bronzing rocks, Leg Makeup by Sally Hansen, and Nars Laguna Liquid Illuminator.

On the Inside Job this week, we start to go to work on changing our image quotient as Luke forces us to carry on through the discomfort of looking at our true selves in the mirror. With a new exercise that involves a few sticky notes and some help from a close friend, we can start to plow through our own resistance and start to accept ourselves for who we are.

On the Hollywood Minute Makeover, Luke gives world-traveler Erin a few key tips on looking stylish while hopping from place to place. With a great scarf or an effortless jacket, your look can be transformed to suit any occasion.

Stana Katic from the ABC hit series Castle joins Luke in the studio to tackle the world’s red carpet. The For Lovers Only star discusses her favorite fashion risk-takers, like The Hobbit’s Cate Blanchett, The Queen’s Helen Mirren, The Help’s Octavia Spencer, Inglorious Basterds’ Diane Kruger, and Twilight’s Kristen Stewart. Luke and Stana break down their favorite looks for these red carpet darlings, including fashions from Christian Lacroix, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana. The two give a few fantastic tips on exploring your own style and trying on different looks to explore and expand your image. Stana also gives us the inside scoop on her upcoming film CBGB, where she’ll break out the leather for her role as pioneer rocker Genya Ravan.
