It’s one thing if you’re a celebrity and have a team of hair, makeup and wardrobe stylists to work you over every time you leave the house. They can set up new outfits at your various venues and even change you in the limo on your way to your next red carpet. But how does a person who’s not so “staffed up” get from work to a cocktail party looking good and not like you were just put through the ringer. Our next guest Saks 5th Avenue fashion blogger Jenny Wu, has the answer.

Jenny believes that with our busy lives, every day is an opportunity to have fun with Day into Night dressing. Whether meeting friends for happy hour after work, or going on a date night, or maybe you do have a fabulous red carpet event to go to….with the right simple pieces, you can go from work into the night hours feeling gorgeous.

Jenny shared some of the hottest summer trends with a crème silk and lace top from Line and Dot paired with a hot neon yellow pencil skirt from Eva Franco. To take it into evening, she switched out the skirt to a flirty mini and a pair of hot pink stilettos. Or you could match the lace top with a pair of floral jeans and mint patent leather shoes both from Asos.

Jenny upped the ante for her beach look with an animal print maxi skirt and a tied at the waist tank by Michael Stars. For her evening beach party shed added a peach colored sleeveless button down from Finders Keepers for a perfect summer night out.

A few easy pieces taken in a satchel to work, with some evening earrings and some black eyeliner are the secrets of the red carpet to take you from Day to Evening.
